This policy explains how Food.com.mt processes personal data when you browse our Malta and Gozo food and drink directory, create an account, save places, contact us, or submit information about a venue.
We use personal data to operate and secure Food.com.mt, email one-time sign-in codes, provide saved features, publish and moderate venue listings, respond to enquiries, prevent misuse, comply with law and improve service reliability.
Depending on the activity, processing is based on performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating a safe and useful directory, your consent, or compliance with a legal obligation. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
We may share limited data with service providers that host, secure, store, email or support the platform; with a venue when needed to verify an authorised listing request; with professional advisers; or with authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal data.
Where a provider processes data outside Malta or the EEA, we use an appropriate transfer safeguard where required. We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute handling and platform security.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may complain to Malta’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
